i know it has been more than 6 months since i have posted to the blog and i promise to get better. i have over a dozen albums to finish, 4 weddings to edit and a few portrait sessions and all of these have to take priority over the blog. i am catching up quickly though and hope to have more new photos on the blog soon. until then here is a few from a recent engagement session and i apologize to all the weddings that havent made the blog. i would really like to get them all on here but lately it hasnt been possible. be sure to check back soon to see our new senior website as well. best, michael

tulum mexico. beautiful wedding. amazing resort. january. nuf said. i have tons of cool shots from this wedding and way too many to post on the blog but here is small a sample of the wedding day and the day after photoshoot. thanks for the amazing weekend maggie and tadd, your family and friends are the best and we had a fabulous time hanging out with you guys. congratulations! funny story too, i was in the lobby of the hotel on my laptop answering emails and a couple from minnesota was there checking out places to have their wedding in december and recognized me. needless to say i will be back the first week of december to shoot their wedding.

yes i am still alive! thanks for all the emails asking when the blog was going to get some fresh eye candy. things have been a little crazy around here but with our new studio manager lisa on board we are getting back on track so i figured i would post one from last month for you. amy and jeff... what can i say about these two super cool people. it was colder than a ___ (fill in the blank) but they were troupers and since jeff is a pilot we had to do the photoshoot at the airport right!?! jeff is also a superhero on the side and had to demonstrate some of his rad moves for the camera. had to also pay homage to the jimmys. you guys rock and thanks for letting me be a part of your day!

here are the samples of this years holiday cards. they are all 5x7 folded 4 sided cards but could be edited to become 2 sided cards as well. the colors can all be changed also. The cards are $3 each for 2 sided and $4 each for 4 sided with envelopes

what can i say? i seem to get all the coolest wedding venues to photograph. this elegant wedding was shot in a vineyard that doesnt do weddings although made an exception for the couple. the dinner was catered by the owners of meritage a fabulous new french restaurant in st paul, check them out if you are looking for a cool new place to enjoy a great meal! congratulations heather and abraham!!

a plain white backdrop is the hardest there is to shoot against. the subjects need to really be animated to pull this off since there is nothing in the background at all to lend a hand and these guys did a fabulous job. this session wasnt shot in studio and that wasnt my intention but looking over the images they would have rocked a studio shoot. sure i have other amazing images from this shoot that werent against a white wall but with a couple this fun and in love there is no need to blog anything other than pure alicia + ben. I cant wait for the wedding!

cat is high school senior number 3 for me this season. what can i say that cant be told in the images? she is a hip cool urbanite who has a natural beauty and was super fun to photo. i am so going to love photographing these seniors next season!!!

love the small bridal parties! these guys were up for anything i told them to do and we had a great time on the photoshoot. i had a blast hanging out on a yacht with them and a small group of their closest friends for an intimate reception. thanks for inviting me into one of the most important days of your lives you two and congratulations!!

isnt this boy ADORABLE! he was such a cutie and although it was tough to get him to let go of his dads leg at first, he did warm up to me for a bit and i was able to get a few cool shots of the boy.
